Tone® Body Wash and Bath Review

So let me start out by saying that I am not a body wash person at ALL. This isnt by choice... but rather due to the fact that my skin breaks out horrifically when I use it. I cannot use bar soap with fragrances in them either. For me... I'm stuck using boring old Ivory soap!(what fun is that?!?) Its always tough for me to act excited when someone buys me a body wash set for a gift because I know I wont be able to enjoy it! :( I got invited to this campaign and I accepted... even though I figured I wouldn't be able to use it. The day came and I got my free (full size by the way) bottle of Tone petal soft body wash! It smelled amazing so it already had me excited right off the bat. I tried it the next morning and let me tell you... a little bit goes a LONG way! This stuff lathers up like the best bubble bath! I got out of the shower and dried off and my skin was smooth, silky and smelled GREAT! I wasited a few days after to see if my skin would have a breakout and lucky for me... nothing happened! Alas I was able to use a body wash without breaking out! I must say that I will for sure purchase this from now on! I'd like to try the other scents as well.

PROS:
  • Smells GREAT!
  • The bottle lasts forever
  • A little goes a long way
  • It obviously is gentle on skin

CONS:
  • If you put this on a loofa be prepared to spend a lot of time rinsing it out afterwards

^
yeah thats my only negative!!!

Get out there and try it yourself!!!

Fiber One Protein Cereal: Hit and Miss

I've been a Bzz Agent for a while now and I love getting to try new products. Up until this campaign I always received coupons to go and  pick up the items myself. I was super excited when not 1, but 2 boxes of cereal showed up on my front porch! I immediately opened the maple brown sugar box and started eating it dry. Why do you ask? Because if a cereal isn't good dry as a snack... then its not worth my time for a meal. I LOVED IT! My husband and I easily ate a quarter of the box then and there! Over the next few days I had it for breakfast and my husband would eat it as a snack. We blew through it quick. Lucky for us we had the cranberry almond cereal too so we were excited to try a new flavor. My husband actually opened it without me. I got home from work and found a bowl in the sink with half the milk and cereal still in it, so I had a feeling that this one wasn't as great as the maple brown sugar. I waited until the next morning to try it for breakfast and I honestly didn't even want to finish it. I powered through it mainly because I was too lazy to make something else. I cant quite give you a great answer for why I don't like it, it just doesn't mix well for me. I love cranberries and I also love almonds.
To sum this up: Maple Brown Sugar = AWESOME! Go try it now!!! Cranberry Almond = Meh, try it at your own risk. You may or may not like it!

Cooking Quick With Kroger Skillet Meals!

Hello Readers!!

I've been super busy so please forgive the fact that I have not written about any products in a while. Bzz Agent invited me to join a campaign for the Kroger Skillet Meals. With this I was also given the opportunity to try Kroger Salad Kits and Kroger Garlic Bread. I think it is great that Kroger is really starting to branch out and feature more products close to name brand.

Kroger Skillet Meals: So when I arrived at the store to pick up my free items, I figured there would be 3 or 4 choices to pick from. Goodness was I surprised to find several different selections. They had Mexican, Italian and Chinese choices. My husband and I decided to try the beef stir fry. The deal is that it cooks in 10 minutes and you don't need to thaw it so it makes a great option when you forgot to take dinner out, or when you just don't have much time. I think I let my cook just a tad bit longer than 10 minutes (12-15) but that was mainly because I was multitasking. With that being said the meat was just as tender as it should be and it actually tasted like meat. We paired ours with white rice and it was delicious! I loved everything about it.

Kroger Salad Kits: Again with this one there are several choices. I chose the Caesar salad kit because well, who doesn't love that? I ended up cooking some chicken one night and adding it in for a full meal. It was GREAT! I really enjoyed it. I would have liked to be more cheese in the package, but I'm cheesed obsessed so that is probably just a me thing.

Kroger Garlic Bread: This one I honestly was not too impressed with. It comes in a foot long sized loaf in the freezer section. I got it home and cooked it a few days later with a pasta bake I made. The first thing I encountered was the fact that the 2 pieces were frozen together. I guess I should have let them thaw for a while first but I didn't have time. I ended up breaking a chunk off trying to separate them. I ended up adding some cheese to it as well. I actually checked on it about half way through cook time and it was already burning, not from the cheese, but the actual bread. It came out a little less garlicy for my taste. I really don't think I'll be buying this again, I prefer the pre-sliced frozen garlic bread.

So anyhoo, there you have it! I hope for those reading this comes in handy! If you have any opinions on the other Salad Kits or Skillet Meals please let me know!

Creating new meals with Sauté Express® Sauté Starter

Hey guys!
I'm ready to dive into my 3rd blog post and talk to you guys about the 2nd Bzz campaign I have been invited to.
So, from the title of this post, I think you can all figure out which product this campaign was for. I had really been wanting to try the Sauté Express® Sauté Starter , however I pretty much always bake my meat so I didn't see the point in buying this product. Bzz Agent was able to easily persuade to me get this product when they mailed me a FREE coupon! :-) So I went to my local Kroger and wandered around looking for this product because it was not with the butter like I thought it would be. These are actually located by the cream cheese. ( Why, I don't know, they just are) As I stood there with my BFF pondering which flavor to choose she told me that she had tried the Italian one and that it was " GROSS" which as most of you are guessing deterred me from trying that flavor. I finally decided upon the Garlic and Herb one ( as stated in an earlier post, my husband and I LOVE all things garlic).
So I didn't use this product right away because I just didn't know what to do with it. I mean I figured I would use it with chicken, but I didn't know where to go from there. Then, I had a moment of inspiration. You see my dad is one of those people who can walk into the pantry, grab a bunch of stuff, throw it in a pot and BAM, its amazing! I however am usually not so lucky. I decided to test my luck and mix some things together.
I know what you are all thinking.. You just want me to cut to the chase and tell you what I cooked. OKKKKKK I get it! I ended up cubing my chicken and cooking it in my herb and garlic Sauté Express® Sauté Starter with onions and tomatoes. I then added pasta at the end, let it simmer for a little bit and then added some parmesan. IT WAS FANTASTIC FOLKS!

Oh and I'm not done here... Just the other day my husband decided to make some Italian sausage for dinner. He threw it in a baking pan and asked me if I thought it would be good to add one of my herb and garlic Sauté Express® Sauté Starter cubes into the mix. I know the packaging doesn't say anything about using it when baking meat, but we figured it was worth a shot. Once again it turned out amazing AND my house smelled like buttery garlic-y goodness!

I still want to try the other flavors but for now, this one was awesome!

So just like last time I will give you a pros and cons list

PROS:
This works if you want to add flavor to your meal and quickly.
It doesnt say you can use it when baking meat, but we did and it was amazing.
Your house will smell like a restaurant.

CONS:
These were a little on the salty side, however I'm not a salt person so it might have been normal.
These were hard to find at the store ( don't think that is the products fault though).
Apparently the Italian one tastes horrible.

Did you guys try the Italian one or any other flavors for that matter? I'd love to hear which other ones I should try!

My First Campaign Invite: BUITONI® Riserva Raviolis

OK, so let me just start off by saying that I am not a big seafood fan. I love me some shrimp and crab though. My only issue is that I cannot bring myself to eat shrimp or crab if it smells fishy. Something about that " fresh out of the ocean smell" turns me off. When I got invited to this campaign I was pretty excited because 1. it was my first campaign and 2. they had crab and shrimp raviolis. I finally got my BzzKit in the mail which contained a coupon good for one FREE (yep that's right I said FREE) package of raviolis. It also contained a stack of coupons for $1.50 OFF a package of raviolis which are meant to be given away. I went and bought the crab raviolis. My husband and I decided to try them the day after I bought them. I opened up the package and I was overcome with that horrible seafood smell. I honestly didn't want to eat them because of that, but what kind of a Bzz Agent would I be to not even try my first product from my first ever campaign? We paired them with an herb and garlic pasta sauce ( We eat a lot of garlic-y stuff in my house). I topped mine off with Parmesan, and a salad on the side. Again I was really nervous to try them but I was pleased to know that the seafood smell went away upon cooking. I took my first bite and...  I LOVED IT! It had a wonderful flavor and they were nice and stuffed with crab and cheese. YUMMY! I wish there were more than 12 in a package though because my husband and I annihilated the package with no leftovers for the next day. Overall I had a good experience with this product and I would like to try the other flavors as well. Let me just make a little pros and cons list below to end this post.

PROS:
  • These were super easy and quick to make.
  • Even if I didn't have a coupon, the pack was only $3.99 which is a great deal.
  • They tasted delicious and I think would pair well with either red or white sauce.

CONS:
  • That overpowering seafood smell that attacked me when I opened the package.
  • There is only 12 raviolis per package.
  • They do not offer a family size portion for this.
Well, There you have it!!! Did you try this product in any of the other flavors? What did you think about it? I'd love to hear other opinions!!

An Intro About Me!

Hello,
My name is Brittany Sosa. I am a 25 year old married mother of two adorable dogs. I recently graduated from college and now work full time in my career field. As an advertising/business major one thing I have learned is that surveys play a huge role in forming a productive campaign. I have tried several rewarded opinion programs and have lost interest pretty quickly. Then one day my mom told me to sign up for Bzz Agent. She explained to me that you take surveys and then if you match up with something, you get invited to join campaigns. She also said you get FREE stuff which is where she drew me in! I signed up and I took my surveys. I thought that I would immediately get invited to campaigns, but Bzz Agent actually makes you work for it. After about a month and a half I was invited to my first campaign. So far I have been invited to 3 campaigns. I think this program is awesome as long as you have the patience and the dedication to log in every few days and complete the surveys given. I'm not going to go into details about my campaigns in this post because I'll be blogging about each one individually. I hope those who get to read this enjoy it and get something out of it. Again this is a blog that is strictly based off of my personal opinions and experiences.

Lets get this show on the road!!!
