Hey guys!
I'm ready to dive into my 3rd blog post and talk to you guys about the 2nd Bzz campaign I have been invited to.
So, from the title of this post, I think you can all figure out which product this campaign was for. I had really been wanting to try the Sauté Express® Sauté Starter , however I pretty much always bake my meat so I didn't see the point in buying this product. Bzz Agent was able to easily persuade to me get this product when they mailed me a FREE coupon! :-) So I went to my local Kroger and wandered around looking for this product because it was not with the butter like I thought it would be. These are actually located by the cream cheese. ( Why, I don't know, they just are) As I stood there with my BFF pondering which flavor to choose she told me that she had tried the Italian one and that it was " GROSS" which as most of you are guessing deterred me from trying that flavor. I finally decided upon the Garlic and Herb one ( as stated in an earlier post, my husband and I LOVE all things garlic).
So I didn't use this product right away because I just didn't know what to do with it. I mean I figured I would use it with chicken, but I didn't know where to go from there. Then, I had a moment of inspiration. You see my dad is one of those people who can walk into the pantry, grab a bunch of stuff, throw it in a pot and BAM, its amazing! I however am usually not so lucky. I decided to test my luck and mix some things together.
I know what you are all thinking.. You just want me to cut to the chase and tell you what I cooked. OKKKKKK I get it! I ended up cubing my chicken and cooking it in my herb and garlic Sauté Express® Sauté Starter with onions and tomatoes. I then added pasta at the end, let it simmer for a little bit and then added some parmesan. IT WAS FANTASTIC FOLKS!
Oh and I'm not done here... Just the other day my husband decided to make some Italian sausage for dinner. He threw it in a baking pan and asked me if I thought it would be good to add one of my herb and garlic Sauté Express® Sauté Starter cubes into the mix. I know the packaging doesn't say anything about using it when baking meat, but we figured it was worth a shot. Once again it turned out amazing AND my house smelled like buttery garlic-y goodness!
I still want to try the other flavors but for now, this one was awesome!
So just like last time I will give you a pros and cons list
PROS:
This works if you want to add flavor to your meal and quickly.
It doesnt say you can use it when baking meat, but we did and it was amazing.
Your house will smell like a restaurant.
CONS:
These were a little on the salty side, however I'm not a salt person so it might have been normal.
These were hard to find at the store ( don't think that is the products fault though).
Apparently the Italian one tastes horrible.
Did you guys try the Italian one or any other flavors for that matter? I'd love to hear which other ones I should try!
